To present the message someone has to go and someone has to help support. Through the affiliation with many groups and individuals the message is being presented.  It is often harder to go than it is to give to a valid, worthwhile ministry.  Eternal thanks to the following for their unwavering support.   The International Conference of Police Chaplains elected Rickey as Secretary in 2003.  He was elected each year since until this year when he chose to step down as Secretary, giving way for younger Chaplains to progress. He holds the FELLOW credential with ICPC.  Rickey trains on the local, state, national and international levels and is part of Region 7 of the ICPC.    After pastoring for 18 years, Rickey left the active pulpit to serve Law Enforcement and Fire Departments as Chaplain. Now retired from Public Safety Chaplaincy, He serves as the Director of Pastoral Care at  Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.  The unique blend of ministries gives Chaplain Hargrave a special perspective on the needs of men and women in the physical, emotional and spiritual realm. A growing fellowship of believers, Chestnut Community Church, invited Rickey to return to the pastorate and they now meet at 309 N. Chestnut Street in McKinney.  Rickey teaches the Word of God each Sunday at 9:00 am.  Their prayers and continued encouragement constantly strengthens the ministry opportunities.                                                    Through International Commission  Chaplain Hargrave helped churches and people fulfill the Great commission by going into the world with the Good News. Previous work with IC includes projects in India, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Hungary, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, and Argentina.                                                                                                In September of 2012 Rickey began a 2 year term as president of the Lone Star Parliamentary Unit; What an excellent opportunity to learn from those who have served conventions, boards, and meetings, on local as well as the National stage; maintaining order in a proper format. He continues to serve as webmaster for the group.                                                                                                    We are always grateful for past financial support for the spread of the gospel from  Helical Concepts, Inc.   and Hargrave & Hargrave Foundation Repair.  Thank you Ronnie, Randy, and Susan.   Prou d Graduate of  MASTER'S INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF DIVINITY   We are delighted to be of service to our Lord, our Country, and those who have allowed us to be part of their  lives. We look forward to serving you.                                                   With a desire to see the message of Jesus Christ reach the world, Chaplain Rickey Hargrave is using every means  a t his disposal.  From working with Police and Fire Departments, serving Texoma Medical Center in Denison as Director of Pastoral Care,  to pastoring the congregation Chestnut Community Church located at 309 N. Chestnut Street in McKinney, Texas.   Chaplaincy is growing by leaps and bounds as more and more followers of Jesus step out of the boat and get involved in  the work that is before us. Doors fly open when trained and committed men and women choose to get involved in the lives  of hurting people.    The fields are truly "white unto harvest" to quote the Only Begotten Son of Holy God.   We intend to see people enter mission work in as many places in the world as we can.  We will work with existing groups and organizations so as not to duplicate effort.  Funding is by the hand of God through free-will offerings and the sales of tapes, booklets, and speaking engagements.  We are also honored to recommend RHEMA COUNSELING ASSOCIATES  as a full-service Counseling group located in McKinney, Texas. Contact us: Email: RickHargrave@Gmail.com  We conduct Pre-marital counseling using Prepare-Enrich and are affiliated with Twogether in Texas

Chaplain Rickey Hargrave and wife Julie. Rickey grew up in rural Collin County, Texas, the eldest of four children born to Richard and Aletha Hargrave. During his   first   senior year at Dallas Baptist College.  Rickey met and married the love of his life, Julie. With her beauty and grace, Julie attracted Rickey's attention, and it is easy to see why Rickey fell in love with her. She is the perfect mate for Rickey. Julie is highly articulate and gifted in mathematics. On the other hand, as Rickey tells the story of their romance, only the Grace of God attracted Julie to Rickey. Being raised in the large city of Fort Worth, Texas, Julie's career  ambitions have led her to Grayson College where she teaches mathematics.  She is professor of Mathematics at Grayson College also an Adjunct Professor at Dallas Baptist University in the School of Mathematics. Her commitment to use her spiritual gifts and her talents for the Body of Christ create an excellent partner for Rickey and enrich their ministry at Chestnut Community Church. Rickey spends time each week preparing to teach the Word of God, and his graduate studies at Southwestern Seminary, Luther Rice Seminary, and Liberty University   enhance his ability to teach and to minister spiritually to the congregation and to others in the community. Rickey holds a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice University, and he earned a Doctor of Divinity from Master's International. As a hospital chaplain, Rickey's training with the International Conference of Police Chaplains, Federation of Fire Chaplains, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists provide additional resources to equip Rickey in ministering to those involved in trauma situations that he encounters at the hospital on a daily basis. Rickey and Julie have two children, Stephen and Christy, who both have unique gifts and abilities that make them highly successful in their chosen fields, and they are both spiritually committed to serve the Lord in their lives. Son Stephen, is owner of Dallas Premier Mizuno Volleyball Club in Plano, Texas. Steve has a degree from Criswell College. Rickey and Julie's daughter, Christy, and her husband, Matt Cooper, have blessed them with two sets of TWIN GIRLS! They are so excited to be the proud grandparents of Mallory and Marlo, born in 2010, and Carley and Claire, born in November, 2013.

Some years ago one Terrell Owens played professional football with the San Francisco 49ers.  On one occasion he caught a touchdown pass in Texas Stadium against the Dallas Cowboys and quickly sprinted to the middle of the Cowboy's field and stood on the huge blue Star, the symbol of the Cowboys.  Many said he "tarnished the star". I agree he was grandstanding a bit but he did not tarnish that star.  Only those who wear the star can tarnish it.  Those Cowboys who "tarnished" the star were those Cowboys who were arrested for unspeakable moral failures.  They Tarnished the VERY Star they wore! When we exchange rings in a wedding ceremony I encourage the couple by saying "look at these rings.  See how brilliantly they shine?  They say to the world that someone has chosen to give this very special gift to you to wear in trust, pride and honor."  Then I turn to the one receiving the ring and say "[Bride], this ring is given to you untarnished!  Never do anything that will tarnish this ring!"  As I look into their eyes they get the message and invariably I see a tear appear.  They recognize the significance of that moment.  Not only have we discussed it in Pre-Marital counseling, I remind them there in front of the witnesses of the importance of remaining pure to the vows they are taking under God. I then turn to the Groom and say the same thing to him.  I never rush in saying it, always taking time to let the words sink in as I slowly charge him "[Groom] your sweet bride is giving you this lovely ring.  It shines with purity as she places it on your finger....NEVER DO ANYTHING....TO TARNISH...THIS RING!"  --Chaplain Rickey Hargrave--
